Catching air at The Remarkables

The RemarkablesThe Remarkables

Located high in the Remarkables mountain range, The Remarkables Ski Area enjoys soft, cold and dry snow for most a season that generally runs from late June to mid October. Since opening in 1985 it has become known for its alpine environment, relaxed atmosphere and sense of fun. Young, hip snowboarders, freeskiers and families flock to the mountain's varied trails, backcountry chutes and vast terrain parks.

The Remarkables

Covering 220 skiable hectares over 700 hectares of alpine reserve, The Remarkables' three north-facing sunny bowls are sheltered by soaring peaks. Teenagers hang out in the park enjoying hip hop music while live bands and DJ's regularly perform on the sun deck that overlooks the learners slope and lunchtime crowds enjoy the antics of the Kea population.

Xbox Terrain and Rail Park

The newly extended X-Box terrain and rail park and the Parklife Superpipe are extremely popular with young and not so young freestylers.  A separate dedicated beginner park is full of features designed for children and terrain park beginners.
