Oceania Sportclimbing Championships and National Sportclimbing Championships
6th to 8th October 2006 - BaseCamp, Wanaka
The Oceania Sportclimbing Championships is the most prestigious Australasian climbing competition, attracting over 120 top climbers from New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
The male and female winners of the Open category receive automatic entry into the World Championships and access to international events around the world.
Hosted by Wanaka Sportclimbing Incorporated, a not-for-profit incorporated society and BaseCamp Wanaka, New Zealand’s most innovative ‘Mountain Adventure Centre’ the three-day event takes place 6th to 8th October 2006.
The weekend event is free for spectators and features the Oceania Championships, National Championships, Junior Championships and non-championship events for recreational and new climbers along with film shows, side stalls, trade stands and a children’s adventure area.
